There will never be the “right time”.

My neighbour passed away in August this year unexpectedly. It was and has been devastating for her family especially her husband. Today, I was gifted a make up set from her Husband. Something belonging to his wife… first of all, how bloody nice is that?! This isn’t the first he has gifted us with some of her special belongings.

A few weeks back he waited on my husband and I coming returning from our family walk to pass on a jewellery set that was previously owned by his wife. “That will do her when she’s older” as he pointed to our daughter. I cried that evening. At the thoughtfulness, the kindness, the love and the memories this piece of jewellery holds and have now been passed on to our wee bubs.

Today he gifted us more things belonging to his late wife. He passed on this make-up set that is still in a brand new bag, plastic still on the individual pieces of make up and none touched. To be saved for a better time, a special occasion.

You get the point?

When I was younger I got a notebook and pen from Disney World, and it was put away until I was old enough. I remember being so excited about it and I wanted to have them so bad. But, they we’re taken off me incase I ruined them. I‘m yet to see that notebook again, in real physical form (I’m almost 30!) and the ink dried up on my pen :((((((

In hindsight, the whole purpose of It getting put away was to keep it good, so that when the time is right, I would have a new notebook to use and love... Which is a lovely thought, I suppose.

We’re all conditioned with these thoughts. This mindset. And we carry these with us until we’re adults and keep the make- up sets unopened, unused.

I’m no longer having a fixed mindset. I will embrace all of the lovely things now. Because, I deserve nice things!

So, my point is…there is no special occasion or right time. The time is now. Your time is now and you deserve to claim it, own it and make it happen!

Stop waiting around and saving your ideas and get started.
